Buy a flagship smartphone today and you’re buying far more than a faster processor and a better camera.

You may also be paying for 8K video recording, RAW photography, advanced AI tools, desktop modes, extreme zoom, satellite connectivity, reverse wireless charging, professional video controls and dozens of smaller features hidden throughout the software.

Some of them can genuinely transform the way you use your phone.

Others may remain untouched for years.

The difficult part is that both types of features often appear next to each other on the same specification sheet.

So before spending significantly more on a flagship device, there is a more useful question than asking which phone has the longest feature list:
