For decades, the browser has had a relatively simple job: take users where they want to go and display whatever they find there. Websites created the interface, users navigated it and the browser remained mostly in the middle.

AI could change that relationship.

A browser that can understand pages, compare information across websites, answer questions and potentially perform actions is no longer just displaying the web. It is beginning to interpret the web on the user’s behalf.
